They can be assigned author types. A common use case for author types is to distinguish guest authors from staff authors. This example author has been assigned the &#8220;Staff&#8221; author type.<\/p>\n<p>An author in BU PrePress refers to the person who wrote the article. This can be different from the person who publishes it in WordPress, which is also referred to as a post author. By default, authors do nothing in PrePress.
