CBCR helps communities build trust and support law enforcement agencies working with these communities by integrating enforcement strategies into community-based crime reduction efforts and using this information to understand and target the issues.<\/p>\n<p>CBCR is a strategic approach to crime reduction that leverages community knowledge and expertise by focusing enforcement efforts on neighborhoods where crime is concentrated, or crime \u201chot spots.\u201d These neighborhoods face a range of challenges which cause their crime problems, so CBCR employs a multifaceted approach that addresses their roots in order to generate long-term impacts.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>FUNDING INFORMATION<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> up to $1,000,000 over 3 years<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS<\/strong>: This solicitation does not require a match.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>INTERNAL SELECTION PROCESS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested investigators should submit the following materials via <a href=\"https:\/\/bu.infoready4.com\/\">InfoReady Review<\/a> by <strong>DATE:<\/strong> 5\/8\/20<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Questions outlined in InfoReady Review application;<\/li>\n<li>A brief statement (up to 2 pages) by the candidate describing their achievements and proposed project including a detailed description of the target neighborhood of the proposed program;<\/li>\n<li>A brief budget outline for the proposed project<\/li>\n<li>Up-to-date CV or biosketch.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A faculty committee drawn from both campuses will review internal proposals and select nominees.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>DEADLINES:<\/strong><br \/>\nInternal Materials Due: Friday, May 8, 2020<br \/>\nSponsor Deadline: Saturday, July 11, 2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DEADLINE: MAY 8, 2020.
