As stated in the March 23 message<\/a> from the Office of the Provost, the Animal Science Center is asking all BU Investigators and Research Labs to end all non-critical work involving animals.<\/p>\n ASC will be operating only to provide basic animal husbandry and veterinary oversight (feed, water, cage change, enrichment provision, wean\/separation, veterinary care where appropriate) to our animals. We will also continue basic colony maintenance tasks as long as they are feasible for our staff (tailing, identification).<\/p>\n If you have projects where the requirements match the guidelines as stated<\/a> by the Office of the Provost, please make sure to fill out this form<\/a>. ASC will not be able to take on any additional tasks beyond basic care and colony maintenance. \nStarting 3\/25\/20 at 5pm, BUASC will no longer honor requests to set up new breeder pairs within our Support Services Maintained Colonies.<\/ul>\n
\nWe will continue to provide weaning, tailing, and rack maps for as long as is feasible for colonies that are on site.<\/ul>\n
\nShould any other colony support become unsustainable your lab will receive further communications.<\/ul>\n
