{"id":21852,"date":"2020-03-13T10:01:25","date_gmt":"2020-03-13T14:01:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/id-ashley.cms-devl.bu.edu\/researchsupport\/?p=21852"},"modified":"2020-03-13T10:01:25","modified_gmt":"2020-03-13T14:01:25","slug":"limited-submission-opportunity-doj-second-chance-act-training-and-technical-assistance-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/id-demos.cms-devl.bu.edu\/bu-filtering\/2020\/03\/13\/limited-submission-opportunity-doj-second-chance-act-training-and-technical-assistance-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Limited Submission Opportunity: DOJ Second Chance Act Training and Technical Assistance Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>DOJ Second Chance Act Training and Technical Assistance Program<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>URL: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bja.ojp.gov\/funding\/opportunities\/bja-2020-17240\">https:\/\/bja.ojp.gov\/funding\/opportunities\/bja-2020-17240<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>OBJECTIVES<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Through this opportunity, BJA is seeking applications to support Second Chance Act (SCA) grantees and reentry practitioners in the field to improve reentry and reduce recidivism.<\/p>\n<p>This program provides\u00a0training and technical assistance (TTA) services to state, local, and tribal jurisdictions to facilitate the successful reentry of people from detention and incarceration to communities.<\/p>\n<p>Through this solicitation, BJA and the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention\u00a0seek three providers\u00a0to support site-based SCA grantees for each of the following categories:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Category 1: Corrections and Community Engagement TTA Provider<\/p>\n<p>Category<em>\u00a02:\u00a0<\/em>Education, Employment, and Community Engagement TTA Provider<\/p>\n<p>Category 3<em>:\u00a0<\/em>Behavioral Health, Housing, and Family Support TTA Provider<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>FUNDING INFORMATION<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Category 1: Corrections and Community Engagement TTA up to $2,775,000<\/p>\n<p>Category 2: Education and Employment TTA up to $425,000<\/p>\n<p>Category 3: Behavioral Health, Housing, and Family Supports TTA up to $1,800,000<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Because reentry requires collaboration among multiple service delivery systems (e.g., corrections, treatment, housing, education, job training, etc.), BJA will accept an application submitted on behalf of a consortium of providers in order to represent the experience and expertise from all disciplines necessary for successful reentry from corrections to communities.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>INTERNAL SELECTION PROCESS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested investigators should submit the following materials via <a href=\"https:\/\/bu.infoready4.com\/\">InfoReady Review<\/a> by <strong>DATE:<\/strong> 3\/30\/2020<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Questions outlined in InfoReady Review application;<\/li>\n<li>A brief statement (up to 2 pages) by the candidate describing their achievements and proposed project including potential partner organizaions;<\/li>\n<li>A brief budget outline for the proposed project<\/li>\n<li>Up-to-date CV or biosketch.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A faculty committee will review internal proposals and select nominees.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>DEADLINES:<\/strong><br \/>\nInternal Materials Due: Monday, March 30, 2020<br \/>\nSponsor Deadline: Tuesday, April 28, 2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DEADLINE: MARCH 30, 2020.
