Our Doctor of Philosophy in American & New England Studies will train you to understand and interpret the American experience as it has been expressed in multiple forms. Graduates of our program have gone on to build teaching careers at leading institutions of higher learning and to hold significant curatorial and administrative positions at leading museums, public history sites, and cultural institutions.
