What is BU Banners?
BU Banners is a new plugin which allows content editors to configure banners at the top of posts. It’s the official replacement for Content Banner, and all websites using Responsive versions 2x and above use the BU Banners plugin.
What you’ll get when you upgrade to BU Banners
BU Banners is a significant upgrade from Content Banner. You’ll find these great new options in BU Banner:
- Easy access to add a headline, text, and call to action on your banner
- The ability to show your page title in the banner
- A variety of easy-to-use layout options for positioning text in the banner
- The ability to play a video from YouTube or Vimeo in your banner, and set a custom banner image to show before playing
- Responsive images that are automatically cropped to give your website the best possible performance
The following Content Banner features were deprecated in BU Banner:
- The ability to add custom HTML, which was most often used to add text and headlines to the banner, in favor of new layout options
- The ability to change where in the page a banner would show, which was infrequently used. Most sites used the window width banner.
